It’s $43 new but I got it for $20 used. I actually park my bike on dirt nearly 100% of the time. I live on a dirt road, visit breweries that are on dirt roads and take the bike on class-6 roads and I’m often hunting for a rock to put the kick stand on so the bike doesn’t fall over.

There are those plastic kick stand pads you can buy but I did and lost them already. I wanted a permanent accessory.

Manufacturer’s Description:

> Details:

Touratech’s Large Sidestand Foot stabilizes your BMW R1200GS when parked on the side stand. Whether you find yourself parking in grass, gravel, mud or forest soil, the increased surface area of the Touratech Sidestand Foot dramatically improves the stability of the R1200GS making your off-the-beaten-path parking much easier.

The Touratech Large Sidestand Foot is the choice of travelers the world over because of its solid stainless steel construction, well engineered fit and strong 4-bolt mounting connection. The top clamping plate wraps 360 degrees around the kick stand for the most soild connection to the side stand on the BMW R1200GS.

The Touratech Large Sidestand Foot installs easily and dramatically improves your parking experience when off pavement with your R1200GS

PRODUCT FEATURES

• Easy Installation

• Guaranteed to improve your parking experience when off pavement

• Made of laser-cut stainless steel and anodized aluminum

• Fits 2006-2013 1200GS/Adventure Oil Cooled models

• Does NOT fit on low frame GS models

• For 2013 and newer water cooled GS, order part # 045-5275

• Add part #044-3033 to adjust lean angle of motorcycle

• Made in Germany

Installation was a cinch as you’ll see in the vide linked below. It drastically increases my confidence in literally parking the bike anywhere. I won’t have to hunt for rocks anymore. My only concern would be the bolts coming lose over time from vibration and possibly that the kick stand comes down when I go over big off-road bumps and get caught on things. More weight = spring wasn’t rated for that weight and I hit a big bump and the stand comes down catching on a rock. That sort of thing. We’ll see how it does over time.

Link to buy: 044-3030

Here’s another Touratech accessory.
