Also, I\u2019m not proofreading this one due to a short time to write between films.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>UPDATE: PHOTOS ARE BELOW ADDED LONG AFTER PUBLISHING<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s 9:30AM in Boston. Last night, the plan was to sleep from 5PM to 10PM and drive down but I ended up getting home at 7PM and after preparing for the drive down (change of clothes, snacks, electronics charging), I was laying in bed at 9PM still unable to sleep and thinking\u2026well, I guess it\u2019s not a bad idea to arrive early.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Arriving at the car-park below the theatre, I waltzed over to Jim Curley, a bar that I know has burgers, is serving food until 1AM and has a full array of bourbon including their own Four Roses Single Barrel cask pick. I started with the Four roses 2015 Small Batch Bourbon that\u2019s bottled at barrel proof. I then ordered the bar\u2019s single Barrel offering and they poured me the Small Batch again. This bar has 5 different Four Roses bottles so I can understand the confusion. The pickles were made on-site which was nice. The fries however were soggy. I still had a nice time, there were a handful of other Star Wars fans there for dinner. I also enjoyed some revelations that I really am not a city-person anymore. Everyone was dressed so nice and looked so fancy and guys were hitting on girls and I was like\u2026let\u2019s just all relax and have some liquor. It was packed for a Wednesday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I rolled into the theatre at 12:30AM, got my neck lanyard with the movie show times and was happy to hear we\u2019re allowed re-entry. What a great thing that I don\u2019t have to survive on popcorn and hot dogs for 25 hours.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Phantom Menace was disappointing as always. I was exhausted, could barely keeps my eyes open. You know it\u2019s bad when you\u2019re yawning through light saver battles.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Attach of the Clones is by far the weakest film in the entire film series (assuming Episode 7 will be watchable) and since I\u2019m not into watching Anakin cry like a baby for 2 hours, I made the executive decision to make my way downstairs to the car and get some sleep. It was now 3:15AM and the next movie started at 6:30. I prepared the pillow I brought and blanket and locked myself in the back seat of the Golf and surprisingly fell asleep instantly despite the insanely small quarters for a 6\u20192\u201d dude.<\/p>\n<p>I woke up right before my alarm went off and made my way back to the theatre at the moment Episode 3\u2019s opening credits finished.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Episode 3 was good only because we get to see the fall of the Jedi\u2026not good in a celebratory way but it is a tuning point for the entire saga.<\/p>\n<p>At 8:30AM, the film was over and we were given a 90 minute break before The Original Trilogy started. I found a cafe called Thinking Cup. My new plan in cities when I\u2019m looking for great coffee is to search Yelp for \u201cPour Over\u201d and if a place offers pour-over, they generally also have a decent espresso shot. This joint has bagels and lox (swoon), 3 pour over choices and excellent espresso. It was busy and I took 40 minutes to really enjoy breakfast and free myself from what has been 2, nearly 3 films back to back.<\/p>\n<p>One note that is very surprising. The theatre was completely packed for the 1AM showing. There were possibly 10 free seats total in the whole joint. I honestly assumed people would show up for Episode 3-7 instead of doing all 7 since Episodes 1 and 2 are very weak and universally hated among the die-hards. What was an unexpected turn actually worked out for the best when I got to laugh out loud as 150 people made groans and boos to Jar Jar and mock Emperor Palpatine wheezing and making very odd old-man noises.<\/p>\n<p>It was very cool to see these movies again in theatres. I only saw them one time each when they came out and I\u2019m certain I was still in high school when those premiered. I know for a fact my first GF and I went to Attack of the Clones and the people in the cinema actually booed a lot. Phantom Menace was with my Dad.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I fully expect a packed house now that we\u2019re about to start A New Hope. Once the second trilogy ends, I\u2019ll try to take a few moments to update this post. It\u2019s been a good day so far and despite only having 3 hours of sleep, I\u2019m feeling pretty good<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE: <\/strong>it&#8217;s 2:55 pm and we&#8217;ve just fished episode 5. Maybe now I&#8217;m starting to get tired of everyone saying the movie lines word for word throughout the entire film. Return of the Jedi is next. Woot!<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE 2: <\/strong>the trilogy ended with a bang of course. It was fantastic to finally see this film in theatres on the big screen. What an awesome day. I took another one hour nap after episode 6 ended and I return to the theater to see over at hand else here in line for screenings from 7pm to 1 am. Totally madness. 400 people in line just for popcorn. It&#8217;s insanity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On one hand, I&#8217;m petty excited that I was one of the hardcore fans that&#8217;s been here for 22 hours once I finally leave this theatre. On the other, most of them probably just assume I wasted s valuable day is theatre.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Almost time for the premier of episode 7. I really hope it doesn&#8217;t suck. Really satisfied everyone. 1am to 9:30pm. 7 Star Wars movies.
