As much as the Giants value Pence for his bat and glove, the leadership he brings to the clubhouse is also appreciated. Pence belongs to a veteran group that includes Buster Posey, Pablo Sandoval, Tim Hudson, Madison Bumgarner and Jake Peavy.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching Pence in his time as a Giant. I think he gets way too much press but it’s all well deserved but I wish other players received equal amounts of press because this is a team effort.

Sandoval continues to be my favorite Giant. He was there when I lived a few blocks from the ball park in 2010 and remains there but Cain, Posey and Romo are certainly favorites.

I miss Huff, Uribe and others but newcomers have proven themselves in the last few years. I’m happy to be a Giants fan and wish them luck in the NLCS. Let’s hope for another World Series win.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
"_jetpack_featured_image_duplicate_dismissed":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[7

post-4268","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-linked","cs-entry","cs-video-wrap
via TheBoldItalic:Looks like Pablo Sandoval is on his way out of San Francisco after he decided he liked Boston’s money better than the nearly identical sum of money the Giants offered him (5 year contract worth $95-$100 million).
