It has a mature grapefruit bomb sort of essence with more tropical fruits that are slightly faded.

T – This is insanely bitter….IBU is off the chain which, for Ephraim base is to be expected. There’s a lot of citrus here…but like a faded citrus. a little vanilla, a little bit of sweetness, quite a bit of barrel character but not what I’d say distinctly bourbon. This is really interesting but also a challenge to rate.

M – Dense, thick, carbonation is tight and well integrated into the beer.

O – Lingering pine cone and grapefruit skin long after swallowing. This was good but so very unique and I’m glad I split the growler a few ways. Maybe BA Imperial IPAs aren’t my thing.

Overall 3.6/5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 AdamChandler (3920) – Enfield, New Hampshire,…

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
"_jetpack_featured_image_duplicate_dismissed":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[160

post-3110","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-reviews","cs-entry","cs-video-wrap
3.7/5 Overall AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 AdamChandler (4024) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 9, 2016 Bottle with the QC Guys A - 75CL bottle split a few ways at cellar temp.
