It\u2019s how I managed to get 2nd place at the Alcatraz Challenge after only one month of training. It\u2019s why I have a trophy from high school swim team with a gold placard that says, \u201cThe Blood, Sweat and Tears Award.\u201d I know how to power through the pain, and it\u2019s one of the most important skills to acquire if you want to succeed at your fitness program.<\/p>\n<p>There are many techniques for powering through the pain, and here are a few that work best for me:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Read this. I grunt and yell every day at the gym. I was yelling non-stop as I punched the bag \u00a0after yesterday&#8217;s workout.
