TechCrunch<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Nokia<\/a> this morning\u00a0announced<\/a> that it has settled a patent row with\u00a0Apple<\/a>. Under the settlement agreement, Apple will pay a one-time fee as well as on-going royalties to license patents from the Helsinki, Finland-based mobile phone maker.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

and<\/p>\n

Nokia further states that the patent license agreement is bound to have a positive financial impact on its (recently revised) outlook for Q2 2011 (check back\u00a0here<\/a> for its financial report on Q1 2011).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It’s sad that Nokia’s Q2 earnings will have an impact because Apple is going to pay them for using the patents. It’s kind of sad actually that this is “good news” for Nokia that Apple will be paying them some bucks.
