According to the Chronicle, &#8220;this could matter tremendously in an earthquake if emergency responders aren&#8217;t able to make it into the city &#8211; especially since many of them would need to drive over a bridge to get here.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>SF is a pretty large city. SFPD Salaries start at 70K last time I checked and go as high as 100K which isn&#8217;t bad for a starting salary of a police officer.
