In truth, I really just wanted to show off this awesomely cool Android Fail but this is something that is bothering me a bit lately. I have a stack of magazines from the early Macintosh days and a Mac Addict magazine from the 90s was defensively talking about Windows 98 and comparing it to the Mac and how their system was much more beautiful and trusting Apple and making fun of error messages on Windows and blue screens of death and more.<\/p>\n

We’re doing this now with Android and maybe that makes me think of the past and how our defense mechanism as Mac users is to hate on any threat that appears. We hate on Windows Mobile and Blackberry but not in the way we do on Android nor do we write as much about other platforms. Android will overtake iPhone in every way possible just like Windows did to the Mac. It WILL happen and we’ll continue to make fun of how bad it is.<\/p>\n

The thing is, Apple doesn’t care. They can remain very profitable even with single digit smartphone marketshare. Android can hit 90% marketshare and iPhone can still exist.<\/p>\n

Android is Windows of the 21st century and there’s no way Apple can stop that from happening.<\/p>\n
